The Future of Te Ngākau Square: A Panel Discussion Evening
Join us for a panel discussion evening at Shed 6 where we’ll be showcasing the proposed plans for revitalising the beating heart of our city – Te Ngākau Civic Precinct.
You’ll get to hear from the Council project team and architecture firm Warren and Mahoney about the inspiration behind the designs, and how they bring together and balance the important elements of the precinct – te ao Māori, green space, heritage buildings, arts and culture, and a thriving hospitality sector. There will be a live Q&A, so bring your burning questions along.
Whether you have happy memories of borrowing books at the library, checking out the latest exhibition at City Gallery, or sharing lunch in the sun with a friend, Te Ngākau is a space is for us all. Come along and find out about our plans for making sure Te Ngākau can thrive for generations to come.
This event is part of our consultation period on the Draft Precinct Development Plan. To provide feedback on the draft plans, visit wcc.nz/te-ngakau-plan.
Doors open at 5pm and the event starts at 5.30pm.
